SPECIAL CAMP (14-02-2009 to 20-02-2009)
We organized a 7
day Special Camp themed “Healthy youth for Healthy Nation” to the A.G Pudur
village, Sathyamangalam which is located 4 Kms away from our College.110
volunteers has engaged in this camp.
DAY:-1
In order to know the village people condition and their basic needs,
survey has been made. Every family was asked their facilities in their village.
Information about the village was gathered and observations were made.
DAY:-2
From survey, it has been understood that the village was poor in health
condition. To ensure their health and hygienic life, Medical camp was conducted
and proper suggestion had been given. The school campus was cleaned and
maintained cleanliness. We provided knowledge to the students regarding
cleanliness.
DAY:-3
For school students, Yoga and
exercises were taught and also gave advice to practice it regularly. Awareness
programme regarding Hygienic life has been conducted for the village people.
DAY:-4
It
has been observed as village was full of plastics. So Rally has been arranged
on Plastic Awareness and Pamphlets were distributed. Also we taught students
regarding their academics. We created great awareness among students to lessen
usage of plastic products.

DAY:-6
The school campus was cleaned and walls were painted. To know about how
to apply loans in banks, banking and Consumer awareness programme has been
organized.
DAY:-7
To ensure cleanliness in that
village, Plastics were collected around 67 bags and it has been disposed
properly. Trees were planted in and around the villages. Prizes were
distributed to the sports day winners.
