SPECIAL  CAMP (14-02-2008 to 20-02-2008)

As a part of our academic activity we organized a 7 day Special Camp at A.G Pudur,  a village in Sathyamangalam which is located 4 Kms away from our College. The total number of NSS volunteers participated was 110.

DAY:-1
            We made a general survey in the village regarding the details about the families and their basic needs and they were documented. Dr.A.Shanmugam inaugurated the camp and he provided information about objective of the camp.

DAY:-2                                                                                                                                                    
            We have done a medical camp for the village people and tree plantation programme, RTI & corruption awareness programme had been conducted for the village people.




DAY:-3                                                   
`                                              The school campus was cleaned. The school students from standard I to standard III were taught yoga, for standard IV and V were taught to work with computer and that evening sugarcane harvesting awareness programme was conducted.




DAY:-4
            We had conducted a rally regarding the CANCER AND PLASTIC AWARENESS. The school students were taught yoga; an awareness programme regarding aids and government schemes was conducted for the welfare of the village people.




DAY:-5
    We had conducted sports for the school students and some NSS volunteers went to DHASARIPALAYAM for painting the school campus and planted trees. Evening we conducted a GLOBAL WARMING AWARENESS programme for the village people.




DAY:-6
            We had painted the school campus. The school students were taught English. An awareness programme on BANKING AND CONSUMER PROGRAMME was conducted in the evening.




DAY:-7
            On the final day we had cleaned that village and collected PLASTICS which accounted to above 50 bags and conducted a CLEANING AWARENESS PROGRAM for the village people.
