Bit Achiever’s Award Function And Farewell

            The NSS volunteers of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology were involved in discipline activity for BIT achiever’s award function and farewell organized by BIT. Nearly 55 volunteers were involved.

Special Camp Documentary and CD Release

With a view to put together all our activities done in Seven days special camp, we organized Special camp documentary and CD Release programme from 04:30 pm to 07:30 pm in Textile Seminar hall. Documentation has been released and video has been put on show, which helped all the volunteers to recollect all the events related to NSS, that was organized in our college. It was such a moment that revealed the great spirit of the NSS unit of the College. Dr.Raman Sivakumar, HOD, Physical Sciences Department received the 1^st copy of the documentation and addressed the students.

Bit-Codissia Students Empowerment Programme

“The secret of discipline is motivation. When a man is sufficiently motivated, discipline will take care of itself”, to make this prove we continuously involved in disciplinary activities. BIT-CODISSIA organized students empowerment programme for the 12^th standard students from various schools and the NSS volunteers were involved in registration, help desk, discipline activities and complete support was offered in order to make the event a grand success. Nearly 50 volunteers were involved from 08:00 am to 03:30 pm.

Ignite’12

“One discipline always leads to another discipline”

The Bannari Amman Institute of Technology organized IGNITE’12 for the Diploma students in order to bring out their lateral talents. Around 20 NSS volunteers were involved in food serving activity at student’s centre and ladies hostel from 12:30pm to 01:30pm.

Trip to Hasanur area

 A  trek was arranged at Hasanur area to know about the wildlife habitat and the present condition of the environment and the immense need for creating awareness among the youth about consequences facing in the forest . About 75 volunteers visited the “Nature Interpretation centre”. Mr.A.Sivasubramanium, Forest Officer gave a brief idea about the vegetation and species in the forest shares his everyday experiences and deliberately explains about the resources from the forest and this made the volunteers to think about various aspects that they could have never thought off in that way. In afternoon session, NSS Volunteers interested to enrich the talents and skills of students of government school whose main motto was bringing the school drop outs back to study and were given an insight on current technologies. Materials like books, emergency lamp, sports and stationary items were provided to the school children.

BIT-CODISSIA organized students empowerment programme for the 12^th standard students from various schools. “The sense of dignity grows with the ability to say no to oneself” We,the NSS volunteers were involved in registration, help desk, discipline activities and complete support was offered in order to make the event a grand success. Nearly 70 volunteers were involved from 08:30 am to 04:00 pm.
